Listen to your Intuition

LISTEN TO YOUR INTUITION

canstockphotos.com
If you are prepared to put some time and effort into it, you will find that intuition is really quite a natural process that most people can access, but few rarely do. Even if it is accessed, some will brush it off as merely imagination. Intuition relies on trusting subtle impressions that you receive when you ask a question, or it may come as a warning about something. The answers just feel right somehow, and if you trust in the process, you will find that life will begin to run more smoothly because of this intuitive awareness that comes to your assistance. Some people like to call this “guidance.” And in a way it is. The more you practice listening to your guidance, the more it will work for you. It is the same as any other talent—it needs to be practiced to work well. However, you do need discernment as to whether you can trust your intuition. It may be coming from your own brain centres or emotional body.

One way to check if your intuition is genuine, is simply by asking the question: “Is this information coming from my Higher Self?” The Higher Self will always answer immediately, without hesitation, in a positive, uplifting manner. If the answer is hesitant or seems unsure when you question it, the information is probably coming from the emotional level, or from the brain centres. If the answer has indeed come from the Higher Self, it will still be there, and you will feel steady and sure that this is right for you. If you would like more information on how to develop your intuition further, you will find some tips below.

1. Meditation and relaxation
Meditation is an excellent way to develop your intuitive awareness. There are various meditation techniques available today, and it is just a matter of finding one that suits your temperament. Highly active people like moving meditations while running or jogging, while more passive types like to sit or lie down to meditate. As relaxation is a natural side effect of meditating, this can be an excellent way to start. When you are relaxed and the mind is quiet, it is easier for intuitive impressions to impact upon your consciousness in the form of visions, the inner voice, or just through your awareness.

2. A positive state of mind brings success
Never let the stresses of every day living impact upon you. Look upon them as tests on the pathway of life. This will do much to improve your intuitive ability. When you remain positive, you naturally tune into the more positive streams of energy available, and this makes it much easier to use your intuitive ability.

3.  Listen to the inner voice
If you need to make an important decision, release any tension you may be holding, relax your body by doing a few stretches, and then let go of all unnecessary problems, and head off to quiet, peaceful surroundings where you can tune in and listen to your inner voice; that voice is always there—but it won’t be apparent until you still your mind and emotions enough to hear it. Allow some time for your intuition to filter through to your conscious mind. If you are a little stressed, it is like stirring up a muddy pond—you have to wait till the sediment settles so you can get a clear answer. With a little practice you will reap benefits you have only ever dreamed about. You can also try out this great meditation on our youtube channel.

Your Divine Source

Your Divine Source

The Universe is living testimony to a mighty Presence of enormous Intelligence that permeates all it has created. In it we live and move and have our being. We are part of it; it is part of us—we cannot be separated from that which created us. This theme has echoed down the ages giving hope to those who struggled to understand the meaning of life. Sometimes corrupted, sometimes lost to sight, nevertheless the theme endures to this very day.

Pulsating within each of us is a spark of this living, divine energy; a spark of our soul. It is a spark of the same consciousness that also has the power to create something as small as a grain of sand or as large as a distant galaxy. Have you experienced its whisperings within your being? Does a mysterious intelligence seem to well up from deep inside you at times?

Your consciousness has no limits if you let it rise above those circumstances that seem to weigh you down. Inspiration and intuition are not haphazard events but come into play when you draw, at will upon this mighty Presence that oversees the souls of humanity. Silent and formless, it does not impose its will on you, but awaits contact with your mind to enable you to bring your true potential into outer reality. This is a phenomenon natural to all human beings who attune with its energy. However, it constantly sends out a call to those who are searching for the deeper meaning of life. Have you heard its call?  Do you know how to connect with this mighty Presence? You connect via your soul or Energy Parent.
There are subtle faculties slumbering just below the surface of your conscious mind awaiting your positive command. They respond to natural law and benefit all who learn to use them. You can use these latent abilities in your daily life and learn how to overcome the “invisible forces” that attempt to sabotage your efforts. Do you want to discover how to live a successful spiritual life, full of peace, harmony, relaxation, successful personal relationships and success in your chosen field of business?

In the far, distant past, as energy began to step down into physical manifestation, there were caused into existence many intelligences that were responsible for bringing human form into existence. These intelligences or souls became known as the parents of the human being, or simply as “Energy Parents.” They are sometimes called the “higher selves” of their human children. Each of these parental intelligences has the ability to draw its human child into communion or communication with itself and in that communion lies the fulfillment of the spiritual needs that humanity is so desperately seeking today. Many of the great Ones have constantly told us that: “The kingdom of heaven is within you.”
The ancients gave the injunction, “Man know thyself,” because if you do this, you will understand the secrets of the universe. Everything is patterned, and if you understand the pattern, you will understand the secret. Hermes Trismegistos, otherwise known as the Egyptian god, Thoth, gave the injunction, “As above, so below.” This is the secret to the pattern.

You might ask, “But how does one get to know the self?” Meditation is a powerful tool you can use to “know thyself” if you understand how to properly harness the true power that meditation offers. But please, don’t make the mistake of thinking you already know what meditation is all about. I’m sorry to say that because of the power of meditation, its practice has been perverted, often distorted, sometimes exploited, and now diluted so much that modern society has marginalized meditation and many even trivialize its practice.
The ability to commune with their Source was a natural function of primitive peoples and it was only as intellect developed and a more outward focus was established that the ability to commune was lost. The separateness between humanity and its Source has reached a pinnacle and many are now seeking a return path back to the Source. The way back is a direct one. It is the re-learning of the ability for that lost communion which offers a profound depth and richness as inner and outer parts are reunited. Once the ability is regained through the various steps of meditation, life begins to take on new meaning, awareness and fulfillment.

THE MAGIC OF MERLIN CLASS

On Sunday, 12th November, I will be running a Magic of Merlin Class where we will be considering Merlin's association with certain key Tarot cards, the Magician and the Fool. The Magician Trump shows the mastery of the four elements, while the Trump of the Fool, if you are on a deep metaphysical path, shows an allegory of magical power. The beautifully turned out figure steps, not blindly, but knowingly to where he wishes to go. The Fool is the essence of magic, its actual power; while the magician is aware that every act is a magical act. Possessing that knowledge separates him from his ordinary peers.

We will also be considering the analogies between the four elemental principles of fire, air, water and earth. Another allegory we will be considering is that of the Garden of Eden. This allegory is graphically illustrated on the Trump of the Lovers.

The course is a very practical one and we will be experimenting with many magical powers, such as pulling down globes of light, and erecting psychic barriers.

This will allow us to make a connection to those magical, mystical creatures, the dragons. Dragons are real, and make excellent guardians and friends and can communicate telepathically. So we will be using a meditation to call forth the dragons from their lair.

There will also be an attunement to Celtic Druidism so that the Celtic symbols can be used in a healing manner while creating an enchanted story. The symbols are magically powerful.

We will also be looking at Merlin's association with the Tarot Trumps of the High priestess and the Empress and how the Goddess energy signifies both wisdom and folly. Druids were great respecters of Mother Nature and enjoyed her many gifts and blessings. We can do the same in this day and age.

I have made Druid Wands for the course and we will be enchanting them to make them magically powerful. They can be used in ceremonies, for activating symbols and runes, for charging water or for channelling the vital life force. Their uses are many and varied.

In my next blog I will give some examples of our experiments.

THE CHANGING FORM OF HUMANKIND

Today I want to speak about past happenings that have been lost in the mists of time. One principle that you must gather to yourselves, absorb, and clearly understand is that mankind is utterly wrong in attempting to implant the image as he is today upon beings that existed in ages either gone by or yet to come in the future. You will begin to realize that there is no fixity; all is in constant flux in the universe.

Therefore, it becomes probable, even from that viewpoint that the life form humankind presently occupies was not the same in the past and will not be the same in the future. This time on the planet is a passing through, a fluxing, a continual movement through various forms and man is not correct, therefore, in attempting to interpret bygone manifestations through the eyes he is presently using.

Life forms that existed in the past were different; vastly different, There was a hybrid form for many, many millions of years. There was a hybrid in various forms, which embodied both animal characteristics and the oncoming complexity that is present mankind. In addition, there was a differing in the circumstance of existence, a difference in the life span, a difference in the population, always a difference. Wherever you look, there is a difference. This is needful for the continuing evolving pattern. Nothing remains the same.

However, the progression towards the present state was gentle; it was a gradual happening. There was no dramatic change and there was no drama. It was a gentle stepping through to complexity but that tale will not be told for some time.

With regard to almost historic times, the life span, as written about in other teachings, was much greater. At that time, the projecting One, the Energy Parent, was young and back in that time, it was required that the Spark, which is currently located between your shoulder blades in the spine, retire to its Parent in energy, and then re-enter the same body. The reason for this was – not the inability, because there is no inability in this universe – but the necessity to move forward in the development of the force needed to project itself as it presently does.

This has been a development over many millions of years and there has been no dramatic stepping up, there has been just a gentle progression. So, you may now see the reason for various customs, which are still extant among certain of mankind, in their extremely modified form

Now, this oncoming cycle is the last but one of mankind’s overall cycle. There have been five; there will be seven. This oncoming one is the last but one and during this period the withdrawal force gains in momentum.

The return path will be a mirror image of the outgoing path. That withdrawal force then, as it withdraws mankind, in fact all life, toward its projecting force is becoming a counterpart of the outward going. As death becomes less and less frequent, symbolism disappears and knowledge in its purity occurs once more, then this withdrawal path will be a precise counterpart of the outgoing path.

INTROSPECTION LEADS TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Go back over your day before retiring, and whitewash those things that are not applicable to your spiritual growth; you do this by becoming aware of the things that do not work in your life, or cause hassles in your relationships. By whitewashing, I mean going backwards over the events of your day from evening to morning and becoming aware of any circumstance that needs to be changed to make your life work better for you.

You will find that after a while of practicing this method, your life will take on a different quality of inner peace and your relationships will become more harmonious. By daily examining your experiences you will gain useful insights into your life goals, and if you are on the right track to realizing them. When you become aware of any negative trait, make the effort to transmute it into the opposite polarity.

Learning to be introspective will also give you clues on how to act, how to respond to others better, and how to conduct yourself in the midst of any situation. Like any skill, introspection can be learned; all it takes is a little daily practice. Also, make notes in a journal so that you can monitor your progress, and if a trait keeps reappearing, consciously make the effort to eradicate it by nipping it in the bud. Persistence will pay off in the end. Continue to focus on the positives to assist your overall improvement.

Always remember that you are a spiritual being that has clothed itself with a mental body, an emotional body and an etheric body to gain experience in the earth plane phase of your existence. Do your best to bring your personality under the guidance of your soul, so that by dedicated daily living, your soul may infuse your personality with higher vibrations until you experience yourself as a soul personality. Introspection of course is only one way of becoming aware of those things that hinder your personal growth.

Learn to become aware of the four temperaments that influence all human behaviour– choleric, sanguine, melancholic and phlegmatic. These temperaments are related to the original elemental principles of fire, air, water and earth that underlie all existence. Even in the Godhead we can see these principles demonstrated in the divine qualities of omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence and omniawareness. These principles have the greatest impact on your life and influence the way you interact with others.

As your consciousness begins to expand, you will come into a greater awareness and appreciation of all forms of life and begin to realize that the material plane is merely a crystallization of spiritual form that has been stepped down in frequency through the process of the principle of sub-harmonics. We are all just unique individual notes of the vast symphony of life that is constantly playing in the universe. Don't be the one note that is off key. Strive to do your best and treat others how you want to be treated.

WHY KEEP A JOURNAL?

Keeping a journal of your meditative experiences is an excellent reference to track your progress, especially if you are involved in exercises to develop certain faculties. Your memory can play tricks on you over time, but if you have the written note of your experiences, you have it in black and white. I remember having an extremely vivid dream about 30 years ago, and I knew I would never forget this particular dream as it contained deep esoteric symbology. I was quite surprised one day while flicking through my old journal, that I had some of the sequences back to front; but there it was and I could not dispute the written word. So, if you have not already, start a journal and write in it immediately after each meditation session while your memory is still fresh.

THE BEST TIME TO MEDITATE

Many people have asked me about the best time to meditate. In my personal experience I have found early morning when I am fresh, a good time. As the day goes on and the chores of a workday take over, it is sometimes more difficult to move into an altered state of consciousness. Many people, because of the pressures of work, become overstimulated by coffee or certain types of tea. This makes it more difficult to take a few minutes to relax enough to move down into the alpha level to experience a deep meditative period. Some also worry about the further chores that have to be attended to. This, of course, is enough to bring you immediately back to the normal conscious level. Many people become tired after a day's work, and so tend to fall asleep in the middle of meditation. Once this pattern is established, it is often hard to break. Sometimes, getting up and washing your face to wake you up might work, but if you have a tendency to fall asleep again, it would be better to get up a half hour earlier in the morning and use that time as your meditation period.

THE SECRET TO MEDITATING

Contact with the Divine is a phenomenon natural to all human beings who attune with its energy. There are subtle faculties of the mind just beyond the surface awaiting your positive command. They respond to natural law and benefit all who learn to use them.

To be able to access these subtle abilities means that you have to clear your mind of the everyday clutter that constantly demands attention and move to a slightly altered state of consciousness where peace and serenity are natural states. If you imagine looking into a pond that has been disturbed by small fish jumping in and out, or creatures crawling along the bottom disturbing the mud, the reflection on top of the pond will be somewhat distorted. However, if you look at that same pond when it is perfectly still, you will clearly see the reflections of the trees growing alongside and either a perfect image of the sun or the moon if you are viewing it of an evening. You will see almost a mirror image.

This is the state you want your mind to be in when you meditate and make connection with your Higher Self. Your Higher Self will then be able to put down a perfect image into your mind for your consideration. However, if your mind is similar to the first example when the waters are disturbed, what sort of reflection are you liable to tune into? This is why some meditators bring through distorted information. The secret is to make sure your body is perfectly relaxed and at ease, your emotional body is in a balanced state and your mind is quiet and peaceful, so that you can allow an undistorted image to be passed to you from your Higher self.

WHY YOU NEED TO MEDITATE

In these times of turbulence and stress, more and more people are seeking a deeper and more definitive answer to life’s meaning. Even though they may not realize it, these people are seeking communication with the Inner Self, sometimes called the Higher Self, because it is this Self that is propelling them towards life’s fullness. It is this Self that will divulge the mystery of the Path, because the mystery of the Inner Self, is the Path itself. When meditation is experienced, it leads to freedom from the incessant mind chatter so prevalent in people today. After some time of regular practice, it also leads to peace of mind, and emotional stability and gradually to spiritual awakening and enlightenment. Meditation is much more than just a method for relaxing the body, but it is important to have a relaxed body for the deeper levels of meditation to be experienced.

Even from times of old, there has always been the desire to go within, to find a place of solitude free from the cares of everyday living and to communicate with one’s maker. Even though meditation plays an important role in religious ceremonies and various other spiritual practices, it is free from all religious connotations. It was practiced way before any formal structure of religion was established and is still being practiced in one form or another, under various names, to the present day.

There are many reasons why meditation is practiced, and some of the more modern ones include, stilling the mind, gaining peace of mind, experiencing emotional stability, spiritual growth and or the development of psychic abilities. Many people use a form of meditation purely for relaxation and health reasons. Regardless of the reason for using it, meditation does calm down the body and the mind and reduces stress and anxiety. Some people have been taught to bring their blood pressure back to normal through the practice of meditation.

Many people have found that meditation sharpens the mind and develops the intuition. Results can be obtained by practicing for ten minutes two to three times a day. It is best not to meditate when feeling tired, as you can tend to drop off to sleep. This is a hard habit to break once established. If you are feeling tired and wish to meditate, then wash your face and the upper part of your body with cold water to wake yourself up, then you should be able to accomplish the period of meditation quite easily. Ten minutes of meditation to start off with is ample time in the beginning.

Of course, you will need to find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and it is necessary to turn off your phone. You may either sit in the Egyptian pose with spine straight, feet together and hands resting lightly on your thighs, or you may lie down with your hands and feet uncrossed. All techniques are, of course, helpful when a person is starting to meditate, but the techniques are not meditation; they are a method to get you into an altered state of consciousness where you can experience being.

Techniques are doing – meditation is being – it is being aware of a different or a higher state of consciousness. In the beginning, the techniques will seem like an effort, and many people give up because they consider it too hard. Meditation is not hard once the mind is cleared of its chatter, the emotional body settles down, and the physical body is quite relaxed.

Browse this website to find more articles on meditation, techniques of meditation, breathwork, centering and many other interesting facets of that which we know as meditation. Any person of any faith can use these methods and instructions that will only enhance your understanding of your own particular philosophy. We could say that meditation is waking up out of the self-imposed limitations of everyday life to the awareness of a different state of consciousness.

You probably find the need to meditate when this world does not give you the peace and harmony that you desire.
